When I started my apprenticeship I bought a second book so I could have one at tafe and work as well as my original at home. I refer to this book daily.

I am an avid D.I.Y’r. Surely that surprises no one, in case im wrong I’ll give you a minute to compose yourself;......... Ok, so if your a jack of all, master of none, get this reference book. A master of one, to hell with the others, get this book. Can you name off 5 common engineering adhesives, and their specific applications? If yes I applaud you! Still get this book you glue sniffer😉 Everyone else, get this book! My attempt at silliness aside, who out there can recount all you've learned through vocational training, degree attainment, This Old House viewing, your Father cursing while repairing a plethora of things around the home/ shop, etc. No one can, period. Thats why you need this reference book, and all the other ones offered by this Author and Publisher for that matter. I have found no better all around reference material for engineering, and electrical information than whats offered here. Well thought out, easy to find what you need are good descriptions of this work. To say this reference is informative would be to modest a term. So, in conclusion, I implore you to pull out your plastic money and purchase this and all the other reference books for sale on this website! You dont even need to think about it, just buy them, yes they are that good!
Pros
Refer to above comments.
Cons
Its a reference book, any cons are trivial at best.

I bought the Engineers Black Book 3rd Edition (INCH) ... Large Workbench Edition. 234 total pages. Comes with plastic pre-labeled and blank page tabs that you can use to easily locate book sections, Spiral bound, plastic coated cover and pages. Wonderful book.
Pros
Spiral bound so it lays flat
Plasticized heavy cover and pages to resist dirty fingers and liquids.
Most conversion charts, threading info, and tables needed for everyday machining.
Contains best information on the various insert cutters I know of.
This is the INCH 3rd Edition. Yes!
Book construction is simply top notch. This is manual you need.
Cons
Not inexpensive, but for what you get, a very fair price.
