Excellent book to have on hand. Comparable to Machinery's handbook

Small size, quality, frequently searched information

Not many cons to think of

I have own all three of the Black Book collection, including the Fastener, Electrical and Engineers Black Book Collection. My interests expand numerous fields and these books are treasured reference books in my home library. I am yet to discover any other book collection that is so concise yet comprehensive. It is staggering how much effort the authors have put into this collection. An essential resource for the amateur or skilled person.

If only other areas could be explored and the collection expanded. But that may not be a good thing. For one can be a jack of all trades but a master of none.

Needed a book that covered everything from materials, speeds and feeds, lathe, mill, carbide tool heads, end mills, etc.!

None. Price is worth it, and probably underpriced for the Par Rapp people. Love it!

The sticker tabs are a bit flimsy

The book is very well done. Has all the charts and information a hobbyist like me could want.

Lots of information in one place. Lots of charts and conversion tables. Excellent quality of paper used.

Maybe make it about 25% bigger or use a slightly bigger font.

All of the information is useful, though I wish there was more information on plastics due to the industry trends.

It has all of the information I could want for machining metals.

The plastics portion of the handbook is lacking. I feel with how common injection molding plastics are, there should be a section on tooling/processing thermoplastics.

As Opperations Manager my tasks and projects vary daily and the blackbook helps me make the right decisions for tool selections

I love this little book. It is filled with lots of valuable information is a pocket size book. It is always either on my desk on or in my toolbox and is always the first thing I reach for when looking for information
